Elmeth

Lalah pilots a gigantic Mobile Armor known as the MAN-08 Elmeth. As a mobile armor, Elmeth is not constrained to a humanoid shape like mobile suits. She is mostly green, with a trident-like shape as well as a spot above that. The trident and spot are usually white, silver or pale pink, but have sometimes been portrayed as a darker pink or a yellow color.

Elmeth has a couple of nicknames. Amuro refers to her as "the tricorn hat." She is also called the Rose of Sharon, even though she doesn't look like a true rose. Why? Because the phrase "Rose of Sharon" is from old translations of the Song of Songs. Botanists believe the "rose" was really a tulip or some other flower. You can read more information about the meaning of this name on the Lalah and Spirituality page.

A sentient Elmeth called "Lalah-chan" is one of the main characters in the manga SD Gundam Full Color Theater. She has strange powers and a tendency to say strange things, so other characters are confused by her or even frightened of her. At one point in the story, there are two Elmeth Lalah-chans at once due to time travel shenanigans. Lalah dates Char throughout most of the manga and the two are married in the end. (Char is only a small pink ball in this manga, but Lalah likes him anyway. He usually wears mobile suits as clothing.)
